Policy of Truth – Call for Artists

Policy of Truth; an exhibition featuring political art commentaries curated by Marci Rubin. The role of a political artist is to express and expose different points of view regarding global politics and social justice standards. Bridgeport Art Center is seeking original political art commentaries whose subject is related to our public affairs.

Examples of these works may include: commentaries on the political global climate in our past, present or future; peaceful protest banners & demonstration art; portraits of activists & key figures involved in government & social change; propaganda & satire cartoons; dedications & depictions of social movements. Open to all media including art & technology and installation based pieces.

“So should art be political? All things considered, it might not have a choice in the matter, but a more important question to be asking – in the context of an increasingly censored, commodified, and corporate-led world – might be whether we can really afford for it not to be.” -Dixon Stone
