Bridgeport Art Center offers artist studios, private offices, ceramic studios, fashion design studios, and maker spaces in a historic creative building at 1200 W. 35th Street in Chicago. Spaces range from small private studios to larger workspaces for artists, designers, photographers, makers, and creative businesses. Tenants enjoy free parking, elevators, 24-hour access, Wi-Fi availability, exposed brick, timber construction, hardwood floors, and a community of more than 200 creative tenants.

Private and loft studios are available on four floors in varying sizes ranging from 150 – 10,000 square feet. These creative spaces are characterized by architectural features including timber construction, exposed brick and hardwood floors. The River Level features workshops with concrete floors and plenty of space for woodworking, and other artisan workshops.
Tenant Artists have the unique privilege of showcasing their work in the curated, Tenant and Artist Corridor Gallery which receives high levels of exposure during gallery exhibition openings and Open Studios, 3rd Fridays events.

The Bridgeport Art Center offers gallery spaces available for rental by artists, curators, and arts organizations seeking to present exhibitions. Our 3rd Floor Gallery features two adjoining spaces totaling 5,000 square feet, which may be rented individually or together. Gallery 3A offers 2,000 square feet, while Gallery 3B provides 3,000 square feet. Featuring 12-foot ceilings and the distinctive character of our historic industrial building, these flexible spaces provide an ideal setting for a wide range of visual art exhibitions.
In addition to rental exhibitions, the Bridgeport Art Center curates eight exhibitions annually. All gallery exhibitions benefit from promotional exposure through our social media channels and marketing for our monthly Third Fridays Open Studios, connecting exhibiting artists with Chicago’s vibrant arts community and visiting audiences.
